Mary Scanlon is a Licensed and Ordained Minister, and has been Ministering to the lost and hurting since she came to the Lord on November 18, 1999. Her testimony has touched many lives, bringing them to the Saving Knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

`

She is also a popular speaker who loves sharing her knowledge as well as her testimony at churches, conferences, and outreaches. She especially loves to share it with those who need it the most - the hurting and the unsaved.

`

She currently resides in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area, and she is the mother of five beautiful children who often travel with her when Ministering.

`

Here's what she has to say about it:

`

"Ask anyone who has ever been in a place of despondency to describe the experience and you'll get pretty much the same answer all over. It's a place of complete hopelessness and a deep despair that is so gripping that you feel that you may never be able to get past the experience of it.

Yet even in the midst of all of that hurting and the weariness of heart, lays the all around desire to want to be set free from the pain of the past and be able to live a life normally and happily".
`

It's the unwavering commitment to spread the Gospel that truly defines the essence of Ms. Scanlon's testimony as well as her ability to be able to reach even the hardest of hearts for the Lord Jesus Christ.
`

"God has called me to do this and I know that," says Ms. Scanlon. "Every time I tell my testimony, I hear how the story has impacted people. I've had people come up to me after a speaking engagement and say, 'This testimony is what made me realize that no matter what it was that I was going through, I could turn back to God.' Or they say, 'I wanted to believe so badly that there is a God that really exists and that He would accept me for who I am, flaws and all, and after hearing your story, I now believe that.'
`

"Pretty much what it is, is that they just needed to hear the words and the story to know exactly how merciful our God really is and that there is no sin that is too awful for our God to forgive them of."

`
Few people can more effectively fuse testimony and ministry than this Minnesota born and raised servant of the Lord. Ms. Scanlon burst onto the scene after her life changing testimony of Salvation began to reach hundreds upon hundreds of the lost and hurting for Christ. Her story hits home for many who hear it as they relate to many of her past experiences that they, themselves, had gone through at one time or another.
`

Her testimony leaves all who hear it in tears, while bringing the lost and hurting to their knees asking for God's forgiveness and resulting in many of them receiving Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal Savior.

`

Her soul-winning streak continues at jails, prisons, local re-entry facilities, churches, ministries, and schools as well as other community meetings and outreaches where many of the lost and hurting are invited in to hear her tell her testimony.

`

She was also recently a guest speaker on the 700 club, telling a shorter version of her testimony, which resulted in over 800 people calling in to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior just within the first couple of hours and the numbers had still climbed as the day went on.

`
She is a highly anointed servant of the Lord, and her heart-rending testimony is a favorite among many local churches, ministers and others in the community that often contact her to share her story with the hurting, or request that she minister to those that need immediate healing from past pains and could benefit from not only hearing a testimony like hers, but more importantly, could benefit from the release of the pain of the past.

"There's definitely a lot of work, a lot of reaching the unchurched for Christ, that needs to be done," admits Ms. Scanlon. "At the same time, I know that I'm doing this for the right reasons and God's going to take care of me. So I continue to go to wherever the hurting are, and I do what I love to do best - which is, tell my story to all who will listen, and to educate the Church. I just try to make a great impression for Christ and have fun doing it. It's as simple as that."

"While giving my testimony," says Ms. Scanlon, "I try to ask myself a few questions: 'Who am I and what am I trying to say?' My testimony not only represents who I am as one that has been redeemed by the Lord, but it's also about how our Heavenly Father feels toward us as His children. You can never really be satisfied with who you are alone. It's inevitable that you will come up short every time.

`

The relationship that we have with God is the only thing that will ever satisfy us, and being satisfied by Christ is the reason that we are here on this earth. To be satisfied with who we are and what we are to Him is exactly what He died to accomplish - a way for us to have a satisfying life - free from the bondages of the enemy - as well as a Father/child relationship with Him while we share and spread His gospel. My testimony as a whole is about not being afraid to be who you are, and to be satisfied with that which Christ gave his life for."

`

As she began sharing more and more about her conversion to Christianity, Ms. Scanlon felt a new sense of confidence in her call because of her reliance on the Holy Spirit. She started finding out that she had grown so much as an individual in Christ as well as a writer and speaker.

`

"I am having the most fun that I've ever had in bringing the Gospel message to those that are in need of hearing an encouraging story such as mine," she says. "It is well worth it to see the souls that are coming into the Kingdom of God because of it."

`

"There is the peace and complete joy that only Christ can give and it's the reason that I do what I do. Ultimately, my testimony is about God's forgiveness toward us as sinners. But at the same time it's also about love, hope and being able to enjoy this awesome life that God has given to us as we answer the call to the mission field!

`

People can really connect and relate to what I'm saying. I believe in being completely real with people, being transparent enough for them to feel comfortable to receive whatever it is that Jesus has for them. To me, it's about how realistically you can look them in the eye and tell them that there is a way out, and His Name is Jesus!

`
For them to know forgiveness of their sins, for them to know deliverance and healing from whatever is oppressing them,  for them to feel and know the love of God, for them to feel that they are a part of the church, or a part of the Family of God, that is what I strive for when I step onto that stage to speak!

`

My Mission is simple: To bring as many souls as possible into the Kingdom of God, and to bring the Love of Christ to a world of hurting people!"
`

There's no doubt that her book based on her testimony, entitled 'The Life I Lost', is a book that also makes a great evangelistic tool for bringing the lost and hurting to the Saving Knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ!
